Our team prides itself on maintaining the highest standards in ice quality and rink operations. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Ice Rink Maintenance Technician.
Job Description:
As an Ice Rink Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ice rink. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the ice surface to a professional standard and support general rink and arena operations. This role offers on-the-job training, and prior ice maintenance experience is an advantage but not essential.
Full time position, 41.5 hour plus overtime.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Operate and maintain ice resurfacing equipment.
- Monitor and adjust ice quality, including flooding, edging, and resurfacing.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on ice-making equipment.
- Maintenance, repairs, and safety throughout the facility, including locker rooms, spectator areas, etc.
- Monitor refrigeration systems and report any irregularities.
- Assist with event setup and takedown as required.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols for both staff and patrons at all times.
Requirements:
- Basic mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A proactive and team-oriented attitude.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ice maintenance experience is an advantage but not essential. Training will be provided.
